Catcha Group started Wild Digital in 2015 with the vision of creating a platform for leaders within the digital ecosystem to come together. Four years later, it has become Southeast Asia’s premier tech conference, where these leaders gather to showcase their bold and wild visions for building disruptive businesses.

Wild Digital includes a fast-paced and specially curated first-class main stage program with an exciting mix of established industry giants and rising digital disruptors. We had almost 500 internet leaders collectively spoke at our events in Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Manila, Bangkok and Jakarta.

Our flagship event in Kuala Lumpur attracts attendees from around the globe, and in 2019 we had 1700+ leading CEOs, startup founders and investors at the must-attend tech event of the year!

Job Description

We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about producing innovative, industry-leading  conferences to run our Wild Digital events business.  

Our ideal candidate is someone who is confident in being Wild Digital’s spokesperson, is  enthusiastic about striking successful partnerships, and is driven to make it happen, whatever it  takes. 

You will need to toggle between being strategic and tactical. This means putting on your strategic  hat to develop a successful and sustainable business model for Wild Digital in SEA; but also  zooming into the details of event logistics, speaker management, and budgeting.  

You will have to be resourceful and creative about developing partnerships, devising new  revenue strategies, seeking out sponsors and speakers, and delivering a series of outstanding  events. The ability to build strong network within the media and/or tech startup communities in  Southeast Asia is a big plus! 

Ultimately, your task is to catapult Wild Digital into becoming THE must-attend tech conference in  the region.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Strategy 
  • Lead the development of new products / revenue streams for the company.
  • Drive the content strategy for all Wild Digital events. 
  • Identify & secure top-tier speakers with creative strategies. 
  1. Wild Digital P&L 
  • Manage all aspects of the P&L to ensure that the Wild Digital business is profitable.  This includes all event, staff & operational costs. 
  • Closely oversee the budgeting process, work with finance, and provide updates to  Management. 
  1. Team management 
  • You’ll lead a team of conference producers who you will need to effectively delegate  to, motivate to deliver outstanding results, and coach/mentor along the way.
  1. PMO 
  • Manage the overall event plan for each of the Wild Digital conferences in various  locations around SEA. 
  • Keep track of all timelines and deliverables and work with the team to make it  happen. 
  1. Sponsorships / partnerships  
  • Be the spokesperson of Wild Digital and develop meaningful relationships with key  stakeholders. 
  • Identify potential sponsors, media and community partners in the countries that we  are keen to venture into. 
  • Build up the sponsorship pipeline and nurture sponsorship leads. 
  • Ensure we hit our sponsorship and ticket sales targets. 
  1. Marketing 
  • Oversee a holistic marketing plan to build brand awareness for Wild Digital and drive  attendance at each conference. 
  • The marketing plan should encompass traditional & digital PR, SEM, social media &  email marketing. 
  • Ensure constant media coverage throughout the year.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent communication and people skills 
  • Strong written and verbal English. Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are pluses
  • Marketing and creative skills
  • Project management 
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning how to use new technologies 

Experience

  • > 5 years of working experience in marketing, business development, media or similar  fields 
  • Event management experience is a plus
