Marketing & Communications Manager

Wild Digital includes a fast-paced and specially curated first-class main stage program with an exciting mix of established industry giants and rising digital disruptors. We had almost 500 internet leaders collectively spoke at our events in Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Manila, Bangkok and Jakarta.

Our flagship event in Kuala Lumpur attracts attendees from around the globe, and in 2019 we had 1700+ leading CEOs, startup founders and investors at the must-attend tech event of the year!

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced marketer to take full responsibility for our regional marketing efforts at Wild Digital. Our ideal candidate is highly skilled in writing, designing marketing strategies and comfortable executing day-to-day marketing activities with tight deadlines and changing needs. This role will be responsible driving outstanding digital marketing, identifying & producing engaging content and creating impactful marketing collaterals.
In addition, we’re looking for someone to build a ‘premium content library’ and turn large data sets into thoughtful resources to drive business results.
Ultimately, this role is critical to position us as disruptive thought leaders and catapult Wild Digital to THE must-attend tech conference in the region.

Core Responsibilities

  • MARKETING PLANS & STRATEGIES
    – Identify target audiences and develop marketing plans across different channels and segments
    – Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish
    – Analyze market analysis, trends and best practices to build successful strategies
    – Conduct analytics reporting and extract key insights for future campaign development, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • CONTENT MARKETING
    – Develop content strategy and ensure marketing efforts are communicated effectively to the public
    – Create succinct and impactful content for a variety of platforms including website, landing pages, email campaigns, newsletters, social media etc
    – Lead creative direction with the production team, develop briefs and guide to create and refine content (including print, digital and video assets)
  • DIGITAL MARKETING
    – Develop and implement campaigns & promotions to drive sponsorships & sales across all platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn etc)
    – Identify Wild Digital’s target market and think creatively how to reach them in the most engaging but also cost-efficient way
    – Plan and develop advertising campaigns, establish advertising budget guidelines
    – Develop an actionable plan to optimize SEO initiatives for Wild Digital’s official website
    – Constantly strive to find new solutions or tools that can up-level team efficiency & effectiveness
  • BRAND MARKETING
    – Ensure marketing guidelines are upheld
    – Conceptualize and develop sales, event & marketing collaterals (sponsorship deck, event brochure, presentation slides, web banner, promotional visuals etc)

Qualifications/Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal English. Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are pluses
  • Background in writing, content strategy & development, digital marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, brand management
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workflow and meet deadlines
  • Impeccable attention to details and ability to remain creative in a fast-paced environment
  • A self-starter and team player who can work in an entrepreneurial environment and contribute with modest supervision/direction
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience

  • 4-8 years of working experience in social media, marketing & communications or similar field
  • Proven track record of developing successful marketing plans and campaigns
  • Experience with video & photo editing, creative designing (Adobe, Canva etc) would be a bonus
  • Experience in B2B marketing & communications or startups would be a bonus
