The role reports directly to the Global Marketing & Communications Director for Catcha Group, and will last for 3 months (or so … we’re flexible about the duration).

Some of the things you’d be doing (not an exhaustive list because things move fast and we pivot often):

  • Help update and refresh our brand identity – which includes, our verbal & visual identity, who we are as a business, and what we stand for
  • Maintain and develop media contacts on local, regional and global media platforms (both traditional & digital)
  • Coordinate speaking engagements
  • Craft strong and impactful messaging for press releases, press invites, social media, blog posts, and op-eds
  • Manage press conferences, press interviews and live streaming on our social media channels

Wild Digital is Southeast Asia’s premier tech and digital conference. Over the next 12 months, we’ll be headed to Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok and KL to bring the tech scene’s biggest names, boldest leaders, and wildest visions to the ecosystem.

As a volunteer, you’ll work at your own time and in your own space (you don’t have to come into the office, but we’d be happy to have you if you choose to!). You’ll help our motley crew:

  • Source and engage with the highest calibre speakers
  • Run awesome marketing campaigns to publicise the event
  • Research the #nextbigthing in tech and startups
  • Work with a variety of event partners – covering logistics, travel, on-ground support,
    media coverage and more!

Job Description:

  • Candidates with at least LCCI/ CAT or Diploma in Accounting
  • Preferably candidate with at least 1 year experience in office administration or accounting tasks
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Can write and speak fluent English
  • Able to work under pressure and meet dateline
  • Able to start on short notice or immediately
  • Fresh graduate is welcome to apply

 

Successful candidate will report to Accountant and assist in following tasks:

  • Handling daily accounting entries by using accounting software (Autocount)
  • Arrange and liaise with suppliers for billing and payments
  • Checking of bills, and creation of payment vouchers
  • Create invoices and debit notes
  • Oversee AP and AR balances and ensure all balances are kept current
  • Monthly closing of accounts
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agent and company secretary
  • Maintenance and filing of all accounting records
  • Office administration tasks and other ad hoc tasks as and when required
